We had dinner on the water with friends this weekend. A “Houston Cold Front” blew in which means the temp didn’t drop, but there was a slight breeze. Our group sat out on the enclosed porch right where the boats dock. The rain fell hard just briefly and then it was quiet and calm. Several boats came in while we were eating. I will never tire of slow boat rides to dinner. I miss our boat this summer. Lambert is still on the hunt for “the right one”. It was so nice to be out to dinner with friends and on the water. We laughed a lot as we always do and the kids chatted it up. I’m so looking forward to cooler temps, however they’re not on the forecast any time soon. Until then, we’ll settle for water front dinners with friends! Today, were all lazy…. we did get up for church and then Hoot and I visited a local nursery to pick up fall tomatoes and white kale. I’ll plant this week and hopefully we’ll be more successful with our fall crop than we were with our summer….
