Farm to Table

Being forced to stay home hasn’t been a bad thing altogether. I’ve slowed down a bit and have taken time to things I’m usually just too busy to do. Last night I actually became a PBS member… this officially marks the beginning of middle age or so. I started watching a PBS program last week and I wasn’t able to watch the last episode in season one without subscribing to the network… so I gave in. I’m so glad I did! I had no idea how many wonderful PBS programs we’re available. So after I completed the season finale, I looked over some of the other programs and came across a show called A Chefs Life. It’s so so good. I won’t bore you with all the details, but I highly recommend you Google Vivian Howard. She inspired me to get out to the farm, pick our produce and whip up a beautiful strawberry shortcake. Libbie and I made homemade biscuits and we’ll have shortcakes for dessert later this evening. Dinner alfresco was fabulous and today was a great day!! Go to the farm my friends and you’ll be glad you did.

Its like kids just want me to photograph them….
